We are looking for a full-time administrator for The Institute of Designers in Ireland (IDI) and Design Skillnet.
The Institute of Designers in Ireland (IDI) and Design Skillnet have an exciting opening for an Administrator to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of their administrative and book-keeping processes and support Design Skillnet in the delivery of learning programmes and activities to the Design and Creative sector.
The IDI is a membership association for Irish-based designers which promotes and advocates for Irish-based design, committed to advancing the value and impact of design.
Design Skillnet is the professional development and training arm of the IDI. It supports design professionals in their careers through career planning, skills development and networking activities, curated with globally recognised leaders in specific areas of design and leadership, enabling them to maximise their full potential. Design Skillnet’s aim is to promote the value of design and the contribution of design professionals as pivotal to business success.
Now, in line with the IDI’s ambitious growth plans, we are growing to meet the needs of a fast-paced and continually evolving sector, and we need to expand our team. We are looking for a full-time, enthusiastic and self-motivated administrator with strong attention to detail.
The role includes the management of Design Skillnet’s and IDI’s financial activities and administrative support (including KPIs, payments, suppliers contracts, invoices, audit reports, data management, etc) and requires an ability to multi-task, balance priorities, liaise with a broad range of stakeholders, and to be an advocate of high quality in everything you do.
We actively encourage applicants from a diversity of backgrounds and are an equal opportunities employer.
Full-time permanent role
The position is a permanent role, subject to confirmation of annual funding for the Design Skillnet.
The role is suited to applicants seeking either 4 days (30 hours) or 5 days (37.5 hours) per week.
This will be discussed during the selection process.

The format will be hybrid in nature – working between home and our office in Dublin City Centre.
Fully remote working can also be considered.
