Design Leaders Conference 2020

Reimagine the Future

A half day virtual Symposium with international thought leaders

An unmissable opportunity to capture the thinking and know how to address the new issues and opportunities that lie ahead

Thursday October 22nd 8.30am

We’ve been stopped in our tracks and simultaneously catapulted into the future, with many trends accelerated and disruption to industry sectors and society causing challenges, but also the opportunity to reflect, rethink and reimagine a better more sustainable way forward.

The world has altered.  It’s a new beginning and opportunity.  Join us on October 22nd for an unmissable chance to capture the thinking and knowhow that will give you the insight and tools to make the changes in direction required as we arrive at crucial turning points for business and society.  We’re bringing together an international line-up of thought leaders and subject matter experts to lead business-focused conversations that will help you navigate the future.

A line-up of international speakers we will bring diverse viewpoints to address the big new issues for Irish businesses and identify how Covid-19 can be an incubator for creativity.  We’ll look at the accelerated trends in retail and hospitality to get an insight on the innovations already happening with retail futurist Matthew Brown, and Russell Beck, Director of Inspiration at Imagine Think Do will show how to unlock and create meaning, purpose and belonging in the new Covid workplace.  We’ll hear about McKinsey’s latest research into how the pandemic is reshaping the values of consumers from Experience Design Director Kim Muller, as well as new insights from pricing expert Blair Enns on pricing creativity in economically challenging times and interview Pentagram partner Astrid Stavro on the power of design to drive change.

Of course, many of these issues would not have been on the agenda just six months ago. New issues demand new answers and, in turn, present new opportunities.

We are facing an electrifying pace of change. This is a watershed moment. So many things that served us well in the past are simply failing to meet today’s demands, let alone tomorrows. Design Leaders Conference will ensure that you embrace the future with confidence, excited about the possibilities and ready to initiate meaningful change. It’s a day packed with new ideas, new strategies and new ways forward to enable innovation and create a brighter future.

Aimed at both agency owners and in-house directors, or anyone who leads a creative team or manages design as a strategic resource, the format and content of the day means you will come away re-energised, re-invigorated and inspired, armed with actionable insights.

Who should attend?

Key stakeholders and decision makers – agency owners, design and creative directors and account managers, and anyone leading a creative team or managing design as a strategic resource.

‘Design Leaders Conference is an outstanding event, an open platform where we can network, share ideas and listen to the opinions of other leaders nationally and internationally. It is great that we get such a valuable opportunity on this scale and level to talk about the challenges we face and opportunities we meet.’

Jane O' Reilly, Deputy MD, Image Now

‘We’ve just got our tickets for Design Leaders Conference 2020. I really think it's one of the best creative events in Ireland...really good mix of business advice, creative inspiration and a chance to learn from other leaders. Not just for designers IMO, but anyone leading creative teams or businesses that want some guidance for the future.’

Stephen Quinn, Founder, Atomic Creative Group
