Who is it for?
Whether you work in a corporation, a government, an SME or a start-up, this course offers everything you need to improve – or revolutionise – the products and services you offer. You will gain new skills to help you facilitate workshops, conduct design research, sense-make data, run projects, and prototype. Along the way, you will gain a deeper understanding of how to design content within your service, embed service design thinking in your organisation, and change the way your team works. The aim: to adopt a more hands-on and human-centred approach – building success for your organisation.
As organisations try to adapt to the ever-increasing needs of customers, they find that meaningful change requires more than identifying a problem and coming up with solutions; it requires a deep understanding of what customers really care about.
In order to get better at identifying and solving problems, organisations need to cultivate new skills and mindsets to help them close the gap. It has been found that organisations that invest in design-led approaches outperform those that don’t.

Developed by This is Doing, the programme is delivered in real-time to encourage interaction between tutor and students and facilitate learning. Recorded versions of both lectures and workshops are available for up to 90-days after the course.
All attendees will receive a This is Doing Certificate by the Service Design Network accredited master trainers, based on attendance.
Structure & Format
This 3-month (12-weeks) part-time course is a mix of real-time, online lectures and workshops paired with office hours to provide one-to-one support.
Workload & assignments
Whilst attendance is expected to allow us to cover the material within the course, it also gives you the best chance to learn. A small number of assignments are given at the end of each class, that should not exceed 30-45 minutes.
