While AI offers powerful tools and opportunities, we will emphasize the importance of the human approach in UX design. We’ll discuss how human intuition, creativity, and empathy remain irreplaceable, ensuring that AI complements rather than replaces the human touch. Conor will also discuss relevant insights from the UX Design Institute’s recent State of UX Hiring report.

Conor Normile is a design and product leader currently exploring how AI is shaping the future of user experiences and products.
Most recently he was Director of Product at the UX Design Institute, recognised globally as a
leader in UX education. At the UX Design Institute, Conor led a product team responsible for
developing and delivering a portfolio of in-depth study programmes in UX design and product design.
Prior to the UX Design Institute, Conor spent 15 years as a UX strategist and designer, developing compelling user experiences for diverse clients including Salesforce, Google, Allianz, Zurich and Goodyear. Conor is a strong believer in the power of user empathy to drive tangible business outcomes.

Niamh Fahey is a Content Designer at IBM. Niamh completed the UX Tree Mentorship Program in June 2024. She is also pursuing an MSc in User Experience Design at IADT, showcasing her commitment to continuous learning and growth in the field.

VENTURE STRATEGY CONSULTANT
A Venture Strategy Consultant based in Amsterdam, Riccardo has been mentoring with UX Tree since February 2024. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his 9 years at SAP as a UX Design Product Expert and his 3 years at Lightspeed as VP in Customer Experience Design.
