The main characteristics that differentiate True Leaders from the average executive are the ability to really engage, inspire and move people to act. How can you master these leadership must-have skills to further your own success?
Geared specifically at ambitious, talented women in senior roles in the design industry, this workshop will provide you with insights and practical tools that will support you to elevate your career to where you want it to go – whether that is a more senior position in your current agency or organisation, engaging new or higher profile clients, selecting the highest value work, starting/growing your own design or creative business or even saying “no” more often.
Executive and Communications coach, Paula Mullin, has carefully combined the two worlds of Executive and Communications coaching to facilitate individuals to recognise their own unique talents and allow them to show up authentically and get the results they want.
She will introduce you to the Bates ExPi model of Executive Presence, which provides valuable strategies that can support women in elevating their own level of presence, helping them engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
Using the Bates ExPI model, the session will look at the three dimensions of Executive Presence:
1) Character, 2) Substance and 3) Style.
- Character – The dimension that focuses on building trust. Exploring the facet of authenticity and how you can connect more with people by sharing relevant personal stories.
- Substance – This is the dimension that builds credibility, the importance of demonstrating practical wisdom and communicating your vision with your key stakeholders. Confidence will be a key priority in the Substance dimension, overcoming “imposter syndrome” and showing up to make strong and timely decisions that deliver results.
- Style – The dimension that inspires action, learning how to have much more impact when communicating in boardrooms or when presenting by making subtle but significant changes.
